Why the focus is this narrow
A Sub-Zero is not a bigger refrigerator. It has two entirely separate sealed systems in
it, the fresh-food side and the freezer each with their own compressor and evaporator,
and it was designed to be serviced in place for twenty-five years rather than replaced
every eight. Working on one properly means knowing which of two systems has failed
before the van leaves, and having the certification to open it when it has.
There is a lot of that equipment in this part of Florida. St. Johns County has been the
fastest-growing county in the state, and the kitchens that went into Nocatee, RiverTown,
SilverLeaf and World Golf Village between 2010 and 2020 are now full of panel-ready
columns, dual-fuel ranges and wine storage coming out of warranty at the same time.
Meanwhile Riverside, Avondale, Ortega and Old Mandarin have the opposite problem:
beautiful houses from the 1920s where a modern built-in had to be persuaded into a
cabinet opening that was never meant for it.
Both need someone who does this specific work all week. That is the whole business.
What we are not
We are not affiliated with Sub-Zero Group, Inc., or with any other manufacturer. Their
Factory Certified Service network is a real, invite-only program, and we are not in it.
Anyone can check who is, in ten seconds, on the manufacturer's own locator — which is
exactly why claiming otherwise would be a stupid thing for us to do, quite apart from
being illegal.
If your appliance is inside its full factory warranty, we will tell you to call them
instead. It costs you nothing and it is the right advice. Once you are past that, an
independent shop is often the better option — and there is a
specific window between years six and twelve where
Sub-Zero's own warranty document says you can use us and still get the covered
sealed-system part from them.
