Liebherr builds refrigeration and nothing else. We service the Monolith columns, integrated units, BioFresh compartments and the wine cabinets, including sealed-system work.

Product lines: Monolith, Integrated Columns, Freestanding, BioFresh, DuoCooling, NoFrost, Vinidor, Vinothek, Grand Cru.

Model prefixes on the data plate: MRB, MF, MW, HC, HCB, HRB, CS, CBS, SBS, UPR, WS, WU.

## Faults we see on these

- NoFrost defrost heater or thermistor failure - ice sheeting the rear evaporator panel and a fan that starts screaming
- Evaporator fan motor failure leaving the freezer cold and the refrigerator section warm
- Blocked defrost drain channel putting water under the BioFresh drawers and onto the floor
- Electronic control and display board faults on integrated columns
- NTC temperature sensor drift showing a setpoint the cabinet is not actually holding
- Ice maker fill valve failure or a frozen fill tube
- Door gasket wear and self-close hinge sag on tall Monolith doors carrying heavy custom panels
- Anti-condensation door heater failure showing as sweating around the frame
- Wine cabinet zone drifting off setpoint while the other zone holds

## What we service

Liebherr is a refrigeration specialist. It does not build ovens, dishwashers or laundry, and the focus shows in the engineering. In this market it turns up as the alternative choice in kitchens where the owner wanted German refrigeration rather than the American built-in standard.

- **Monolith** — the tall 30, 36 and 42 inch columns, over 83 inches of finished height, panel-ready and installed flush into cabinetry.
- **Integrated units** — the HC, HCB and HRB fully integrated refrigerators and bottom-freezer units.
- **Freestanding** — CS, CBS and side-by-side cabinets.
- **Undercounter** — UPR and similar single-zone units in butler's pantries and bars.
- **Wine** — Vinidor multi-zone cabinets, Vinothek and Grand Cru, plus WS and WU built-in and undercounter wine storage.

BioFresh is the near-freezing, humidity-controlled compartment; DuoCooling keeps the refrigerator and freezer on separate cooling circuits so air is not exchanged between them; NoFrost is the automatic defrost system on the freezer side. All three are the things owners actually notice when something goes wrong.

## What actually fails

The most reported symptom is warm refrigerator, cold freezer. On a unit where the two sections are cooled separately, that is not a contradiction — it is the normal way this architecture fails. Before anyone talks about a compressor, the evaporator fan, the defrost circuit and the sensors have to be ruled out, in that order.

Ice on the rear panel of a NoFrost unit is a fault, full stop. A NoFrost cabinet is not supposed to accumulate frost anywhere, so ice sheeting the back means the defrost heater or its thermistor has quit. The tell is often noise first: the evaporator fan blade starts clipping the ice and the unit gets loud before it gets warm.

Water under the BioFresh drawers, or on the floor in front of the unit, is usually a blocked defrost drain channel rather than a leak. Clearing it properly means a controlled defrost, not forcing anything down the channel.

Electronic control and display boards are a real failure item on the integrated columns, and so are anti-condensation door heaters — when the heater dies, the cabinet frame starts sweating and people assume a seal problem. Door gaskets and self-close hinges also fatigue on the tall Monolith doors, because those doors carry a heavy custom panel their whole life.

On wine cabinets, the classic call is one zone that has slowly wandered off setpoint while the other holds correctly. That points at a fan, a sensor or a seal well before it points at the sealed system.

## Parts and why they matter

Liebherr parts are model and serial specific. Fan assemblies, heaters, sensors and gaskets differ between generations that look identical behind a custom panel, so we pull the serial plate before we order anything. Common items move quickly; boards and cabinet parts on older German-built units take longer, and you get the real date up front.

We install genuine OEM parts. A generic thermistor reading two degrees off is not a saving on a cabinet holding a wine collection.

## Independent service and your warranty

We are an independent company and are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Liebherr. If your unit is still inside its factory warranty, use the manufacturer's own service channel for covered work — we will tell you that rather than take the job.

Out of warranty, using an independent shop does not void anything. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act a manufacturer cannot void your warranty solely because an independent servicer did the work or a part it did not sell was used. That is a protection for you, not a claim that Liebherr will pay us.

Sealed-system work is done in your home by EPA Section 608 certified technicians. Diagnostic is flat, credited toward the repair on approval. Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 4pm, out to roughly 40 miles of driving from Fruit Cove.

## Questions people ask

**Are you a Liebherr authorized service center?**

No. We are an independent appliance repair company with no affiliation to Liebherr. We repair Liebherr refrigeration and install genuine OEM parts, and we are careful not to imply a factory relationship we do not hold.

**My Liebherr freezer is fine but the refrigerator side is warm. Is the compressor gone?**

Usually not. On a unit where the two sections are served on separate cooling circuits, that split is a normal presentation. The common causes are an evaporator fan, a defrost fault icing the evaporator, or a sensor - all far cheaper than a compressor.

**There is ice building up on the back wall of my NoFrost unit. What causes that?**

A NoFrost cabinet should never accumulate ice on the rear panel. When it does, the defrost circuit has failed - typically the defrost heater or its thermistor. Left alone, the iced evaporator eventually blocks airflow and the cabinet warms up.

**Do you do sealed-system repairs on Liebherr, or just parts swapping?**

We perform sealed-system repairs in your home, including compressor and evaporator work, by EPA Section 608 certified technicians. Most shops will not open a sealed system at all and simply declare the unit unrepairable.

**How do Liebherr parts lead times compare?**

Fans, heaters, thermistors, gaskets and water valves are usually available quickly. Boards and cabinet-specific parts for older German-built models can take longer, and we tell you the quoted date before you approve the repair.

**What does the service call cost?**

flat for the diagnostic, credited toward the repair when you approve the work. You get a written estimate before we order a part or open a sealed system.
