Family-owned Italian range maker from Guastalla, building cooking equipment since 1882. We repair Bertazzoni ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, hoods, dishwashers and refrigeration.

Product lines: Professional Series, Master Series, Heritage Series, Modern Series.

Model prefixes on the data plate: PRO, MAST, HER, MOD, F, KU, KG, REF, DW.

## Faults we see on these

- Burners sparking continuously after a boil-over soaks the electrode
- Brass burner caps misseated, giving a lazy or uneven flame
- Oven running hot or cold against the dial and needing thermostat calibration
- Convection fan motor noise or a fan that stops mid-bake
- Bake element and relay board failures on electric and dual-fuel ovens
- Heavy oven door hinges losing tension so the door will not sit closed
- Oven door gasket hardening, causing slow preheat and heat loss at the frame
- Ignition switch block and spark module faults on multi-burner rangetops
- LP conversion done incorrectly at install, producing yellow flame or poor simmer
- Hood blower motor and control panel failures

## What we service

Bertazzoni is a family-owned Italian manufacturer based in Guastalla, in the Emilia-Romagna region, and the family has been building cooking equipment since 1882. The range is organized into four series that look very different and share a lot of engineering underneath: Professional, with the chunky commercial-style handles and knobs; Master, the cleaner and more restrained line; Heritage, the retro-styled range that shows up in a lot of transitional kitchens; and Modern, the flush minimalist line.

We service Bertazzoni gas, dual-fuel, induction and electric ranges from 24 to 48 inches, rangetops and cooktops, single and double wall ovens, ventilation hoods, dishwashers, and their built-in refrigerator and freezer columns.

## What actually fails

Bertazzoni failures are mostly the honest mechanical and thermal failures you would expect from a range built around brass burners and a heavy steel cavity, and that is a compliment.

The single most common call is a burner that will not stop sparking. After a pot boils over, liquid bridges the spark electrode to the burner body and the module keeps firing, sometimes on every burner at once. Nine times out of ten this is a drying and reseating job, not a spark module. Brass burner caps also get put back slightly off after cleaning, which gives a lazy, uneven or lifting flame that gets blamed on the gas supply.

Oven temperature accuracy is the second big one. These ovens hold heat well, which means a drifting thermostat or sensor is not obvious until baking goes wrong. We measure actual cavity temperature against setpoint across a full cycle rather than trusting an oven thermometer sitting on a rack for five minutes, then calibrate or replace.

After that: convection fan motors that get loud and then stall, bake elements and relay boards on the electric and dual-fuel models, and door hardware. The doors on Professional and Heritage ranges are heavy, and hinges lose tension over years of use — the symptom is a door that will not close the last half inch, which then shows up as slow preheat and heat escaping at the frame. A hardened door gasket does the same thing.

On installation-related faults, LP conversion is worth naming. These ranges arrive set for natural gas and require a proper conversion kit with the correct orifices and a regulator adjustment. A conversion that was rushed at install produces yellow flame tipping, sooting on pans, or a burner that will not hold a low simmer. That is not a defective range; it is an incomplete setup, and it is fixable.

## Parts and why they matter

This is where an Italian range differs practically from a domestic one. A meaningful share of the Bertazzoni parts catalog ships from Italy. Fast-moving wear items — igniters, thermocouples, burner caps, gaskets — are generally available quickly. Thermostats, control boards, glass and cosmetic panels can take longer. We confirm availability and lead time before we quote, so you can make the repair-or-wait decision with real information instead of finding out ten days in.

We install genuine OEM parts and we order against the full model and serial from the data plate, which on most Bertazzoni ranges sits behind the kick panel or inside the oven door frame. Generic igniters and universal thermostats are the fastest way to turn a solved problem into a recurring one.

## Independent service and your warranty

We are an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Bertazzoni, and we do not bill any manufacturer for warranty labor. Our technicians hold EPA Section 608 certification, which is the federal credential required for sealed-system refrigeration work, and we handle gas, electrical and thermal work on cooking equipment as a matter of routine.

If your range is still inside its factory warranty, tell us the model and serial and we will say so — that coverage is delivered through the manufacturer's own service arrangements. Once you are outside it, using an independent shop does not void your warranty; federal warranty law protects that choice. Diagnostic is flat, credited toward the repair when you approve the work. We cover Jacksonville and St. Johns County inside a 40-mile drive of Fruit Cove. Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, Sat 9am-4pm.

## Questions people ask

**How long do Bertazzoni parts take to arrive?**

Longer than domestic brands, because much of the catalog ships from Italy. Common wear items like igniters, thermocouples and door gaskets are usually quick. Boards, thermostats and cosmetic panels can take a week or more, so we confirm lead time before quoting.

**My Bertazzoni burner keeps clicking after I cook. What is that?**

Almost always a wet or misseated burner cap and electrode after a boil-over. Liquid bridges the electrode to the burner and the spark module keeps firing. Drying the area and reseating the cap properly clears most of these without any parts.

**The oven temperature is off compared to the dial. Can that be fixed?**

Yes. We measure actual cavity temperature against setpoint over a full cycle before touching anything, then calibrate or replace the thermostat or sensor. It is worth doing properly rather than adding an offset and hoping.

**Was the range set up correctly for propane?**

It is worth checking. Bertazzoni ranges ship configured for natural gas and require an LP conversion kit with the correct orifices and regulator setting. A conversion done incompletely shows up as yellow tipping, sooting or a burner that will not simmer.

**Are you a Bertazzoni authorized service center?**

No. We are an independent appliance repair company with no affiliation to Bertazzoni. We repair the brand and install genuine OEM parts, which is not the same as belonging to a manufacturer service network.
